View and Edit DNS or MX Records

The DNS and MX records page in ControlPanel is a visual representation of the various components of your domain name and their specific IP addresses. The vast majority of users will only need to be familiar with the domain name itself. You need to be familiar with the DNS and MX records only if you need to create new records and redirect it to a third-party source or modify existing mail records to a third-party E-mail service.

To view DNS or MX records:

  1. In ControlPanel, click Domain Name.

  2. In the Domain Names page section, click Edit DNS next to the domain name that you want to use.

  3. In the Domain Name Summary page scroll down and click Advanced DNS Settings.

The following is only a SAMPLE.  Your actual nameservers can be found in ControlPanel as described here.

Modifying your DNS or MX information can result in your site not being found and/or email failure. Be sure you want to make these changes prior to modifying any information. We strongly suggest that you do not delete any existing record.  Please do NOT delete pre-existing records unless you are absolutely certain of its consequences.
