Read & Write E-mail

SiteMail has an intuitive interface that essentially does what it says.

To read or reply or forward

1

First, make sure you're on the Email tab in SiteMail.  If not, click Email along the top of the interface.

2

Every time you log in, SiteMail automatically checks for new e-mail messages.  To manually check for new messages at any time, click Get Mail

3

To read a message, simply click it.

4

Once you click it, a new tab - named after the message's Subject title - opens along the top of the interface.

A message tab serves two functions: it gives you a shortcut to an e-mail to which you wish to have quick access, and it allows you to multi-task (for example, you could start a reply to an e-mail, check your calendar to make sure a certain date is open, then return to the message tab and finish your reply.)

5

To keep the message open and return to the Inbox, click Back to Folder, or simply click whichever folder or function you wish to pursue next; the tab will remain open until you manually close it.  To close a message ta, click the "x" on the tab itself, or the Close button within each message window..

6

If you read an e-mail with multiple messages (for example, you reply to a message or the recipient replies to your message), then it becomes a thread.  A thread collects all messages pertaining to a single chain so that you can view it in its entirety in a single view regardless of when the messages are received.  To instantly view all messages in a thread, click Toggle Threads.  (Click it again to Collapse Threads.)

Please note that the Toggle Threads button appears only when an e-mail has one or more replies.  If you prefer to separate each e-mail so that they can be sorted independently, then you can disable the thread option in Settings.

7

To reply, click anywhere in the text box below the sender's message (or click Reply/Reply All), type your message and click Send my Reply on the bottom-right corner; or if you would rather finish it later, then click Save as Draft.

If you need to reply to all and forgot to click Reply All, then check the box next to Options: Reply To All.  The other option allows you to Edit Subject line.

8

To forward, click Forward, enter the recipient address and click Send Email.
