Payment Certificates

Some payment modules require the store owner to work with payment certificates.

A payment certificate is a file that is used to secure sensitive payment information when conducting electronic commerce between merchants and credit card processors, or banks.

Most payment services provide you with a certificate file. For example, certificates are provided by: Linkpoint, Yourpay, and PayPal Website Payments Pro.

Paypal Website Payments Standard/IPN requires the customer to generate their own certificate, and we provides the interface for generating this certificate.

For more details on certificates, consult the documentation provided by the payment service when you sign up for the account.

Payment Certificate Manager

The Payment Certificate Manager helps in the management of these certificate files.

OLD: In the past, you would upload the certificate file directly through a payment module

NEW: Now you can manage various aspects of certificates through the Certificate Manager.
