Each Exchange mailbox includes a free copy of Outlook, which you can download and configure automatically by clicking on the Download Outlook/Entourage link on the MS Exchange management section in ControlPanel. You can also configure a copy of Outlook 2007 that is already on your computer.
Note: before you can configure Outlook, you need to create a mailbox first.
On the Download Client page, Exchange customers can download and configure a free licensed copy of Outlook 2007 (that will remain active so long as you remain a customer).
To Download Your Free Copy of Outlook 2007:
1 |
Click the Download Outlook/Entourage link. You should now see the Exchange Central Download page and the End-User License Agreement. |
2 |
On this page, click the Download Outlook 2007 link. You should now see the End-User License Agreement page. |
3 |
On this page, in addition to the agreement, you should also see the installation key and a link to a zip file. Please read the agreement, take note of the key and store it somewhere, and click the MSOutlook2007.zip link. |
4 |
Once you have downloaded the zip file, please open it. If your computer does not already have a program that can open zip files, then please download WinZip (or something similar) from download.com. |
5 |
Once the zip file is opened, search for a file called "setup.exe" and double-click it. The installation process will begin. |
6 |
Next, you will be prompted to enter the key that you noted in Step 3. Please copy and paste the key and then click the Continue button. |
7 |
Next, click Upgrade, or if you need to customize the options, then click Options. Please allow 5-15 minutes for it to install. |
|
It is possible to use Outlook 2003. However, some Exchange 2007 features/functions are not available on Outlook 2003 so we strongly recommend downloading the free copy of Outlook 2007 and upgrading before proceeding any further. |
