When you register a domain name, three sets of contact information are created: Administrative, Technical and Billing. This is called a Whois record.
The Admin, Tech and Billing contact can all be the same organization/person, or they can be different.
IMPORTANT: The most common and troublesome problem with the Whois record is that customers often fail to update it when contact information changes, especially the administrative contact e-mail address. In order to maintain a domain name and properly manage it, always use the most up-to-date contact information.
To access Whois information for any domain name, go to whois.domainpeople.com and type in your domain name.
