Configuring Outlook 2000


 

 To configure Outlook  2000:

Go to the menu bar at the top of the screen and choose Tools > Accounts.

In the Internet Accounts window, click the Add button.

Select the Mail menu item.

On the Internet Connection Wizard screen, type your name.

Click the Next button at the bottom of the screen.

Type the desired email address in the Internet Email Address screen. Ex. joe@yourdomain.com

Click the Next button at the bottom of the screen.

On the Email Server Names screen, specify that “My incoming mail server is a  Pop3 server” by selecting thePOP3 option from the drop-down menu.

Type the incoming mail server name in the Incoming mail server text field. Ex: pop.yourdomain.com

 Type the outgoing mail server name in the Outgoing mail server text field. Ex: smtp.yourdomain.com

Click the Next button.

On the Internet Mail Logon screen, type in the first part of your email address in the Account name text field. Ex. joe

Type the password in the Password text field.

Click the Next button.

Select the I will establish my Internet connection manually radio button.

Click the Next button.

On the Congratulations screen, click the Finish button.
